My elderly father in law had two beautiful old cedars basically over pruned all the way back to the trunk (all branches removed). There is about 10 feet left standing but no leaves left. before these are removed I was wondering if there is any chance that they would sprout leaves and eventually smaller branches again, or if once they are cut to a certain point they have no means of survival and will die.
