I think he lies the look of the typical landscaping there, and is hoping there will be an Austrian on this site who can give the names of the common landscape trees used there.

Posting vacation photos to the "name that tree" forum is an excellent idea.

If you have a friend who speas German, you could use google to find the websites of neighborhood nurseries in Austria and look at what they sell.

Finding a place to buy them here is a whole other step.

Yeah, it's just the common plants and their local usage that I'm interested in, not natives or exotics. I've realised that the search terms I was using with Google were not the best so I'm sure I can find nurseries that can hopefully help me.

However, I am also looking for Austrian gardening forums and I've not had any luck there, yet.
