Conifer Horror!

About two months ago a *garden club * came to take care of the weeping willow that came down with H. Sandy. HUGE tree!I told them specifically DO NOT TOUCH THE CONIFERS OR ANYTHING ELSE!

I had an appt. that morning and foolishly left them to remove the broken leader from the willow.

To my horror ... the Blue Atlas Cedars were hacked. The lower 5 ft worth of branches, including the limbs with the cones, were lopped off.

My once beautiful Sequoia... had been perfectly symetrical with branches to the ground. Six to seven feet of the branches were hacked away! :*(

They did the same with the Dawn Redwood.

I was sick for the next five days. Crying and vomiting when I went outside.

Soooo... I know the Dawn Redwood will not regrow the branches. Is there hope the Cedars and Sequoia will? Obviously the look of the trees will always be ruined.

One Cedar was planted in 1994. Another in 1998(?). The Sequoia was planted seven days after 9/11/2001.

I am still beyond angry with what they did! And ya know what? 90% of the weeping willow is still laying in the yard with weeds growing all around!

Thanks for your help!
