This is one of the best witches' brooms found of this species.
Imo 'Wellenseind' is comparable but 'Silberkugel' is the best one, if grafted on a little standard.

Indeed, Will is showing a nice series of photos, but the best time for taking pics of it is in late autumn or winter time when the needles are completely hardened off.
Snow could be an issue then, but Stephen doesn't have much troubles with this stuff because of the mild climate in his country ;0)

It will be so Dave. Hundreds to upload but the Winter is young.

I'll keep that in mind Edwin. This year's the first year I am photographing plants almost exclusively after the Autumn Equinox(and into Winter).

Yes this specimen gets 10-12 hours of sun during the growing season, it's in one of the brightest/best spots in my yard. Only two of the firs has shown any signs of burning, out of about two dozen. Many have leaders that rival that of anything I've seen from these cultivars. It's a strange but great occurrence.
