Gorgeous, Will! I wish I could grow Cedrus deodara in zone 5. What type of Japanese Maple is on the left? Your camera shows such vibrant colours.

Hey Lowville....try C. deodara 'Eisregen' or 'Karl Fuchs'. Neither are dwarf cultivars but they do show promise in your zone (Burlington?). They can be found at Vineland Nurseries or Whistling Gardens. You might also consider C. libani var. stenocoma. It's thriving in my garden at the other end of the Lake.

Lowville5: The Japanese maple is 'Purple Ghost' in Autumn color. It's a nice color year round and actually less colorful than many maples in Autumn.

Rose, conifers 'mature' in hundreds of years usually, so it's hard to give an estimate for that, but I think it's growing about 6-8" a year in sprays, so maybe 6' tall and wide in a decade, 12' tall in twenty years?

Well done, it looks like an exploding green firework or a fountain, deodaras are so wonderfully varied in form and color. So many have such outstanding new growth contrasts and I love the wispy featheryness of the foliage, white ones almost look like clouds of mist.
