What to use instead of Burlap when digging yourself to transplant

Hi, I have a quick question about what to us instead of burlap for transplanting a tree. I found a tree farm that sells Norway Spruces for cheap but it is a "u dig" sale. I've moved many trees around in my property without a problem before but I have never bought a tree that I will dig myself and have to travel with it in my truck 50 miles to plant on my property. My question is...What can I use to hold the root ball together during travel. I plan on planting them right away. Can I just use heavy duty black trash bag and tie it around with a rope to hold the soil together with the root ball? or maybe some old bed sheets?

Reason I cannot use burlap is because I spent half the day trying to find some with no luck....

Here is a video that I plan on using as a guide. The trees will be 3' youtube.com/watch?v=bt_a4UsYNYY
