Planting Today

Been off and on for a month or so. Kinda became busy with ebay and a few weekend getaways. --So yesterday kbguess/Keith brought some real nice conifers and an oak. I planted today what I decided to put in my own landscape and since I have a dupe of that oak (Quercus dentata 'Pinnatifida') I'm going to place it in a prime location at my neighbor's & along with a Picea orientalis 'Daureus' that just couldn't get my heart racing! I'll post photos for Keith and everyone - after I plant those at his house.

Pinus aristata 'Sticky Whiskers'...............(ortet W.B. seedling Dax Herbst, USA)
a one of a kind. 3" across. 5 years old. The wood for grafting is super thin. A couple toothpicks together are a stem, literally . Wood distributed as of Feb. 2014.

Some great plants Dax. Surely you've picked a great aristata to name for yourself. I don't know if I'll ever name a plant for myself but if I did it would be a plant I fell in love with.

Is Pinus heldreichii 'Beran Conica' a very old cultivar? I've never heard of it, though 'Beran' has several pines to it's name.

Very nice Blue Lou! Outstanding habit and color...

You can be proud of your aristata and 'Dax' is very short and nice name for it.... There will be no difficulty with spelling:) (like Schneverdinger Goldmachangel:)

Pinus heldreichii 'Beran Conica' has a very strong competition in this shot! Your royal white rose Sophie is so beautyful!!:)

All nice additions for your land. Love the Blue Lou. Very nice coloring on it. Dax is also wonderful, so nice and full. Also really like that Horsham x Contorta.

'Blue Lou' rules. I like that strobus cross, too. I admire how willing you are to plant out stuff that's absolutely tiny.

Not sure Will regarding Beran Conica. Zsolt has the most thorough information I own and all he came up with is that Larry Stanley sold/is selling/owns the plant & nothing more.
