Those are awesome.

My neighbor always finds copious amounts of morels on his property which are quite distinctive and easy to identify. I haven't found any yet. I just wish I new enough about mushrooms to know if these huge white ones are edible or not. Probably not. =(

These large umbrellas pop up scattered across my lawn. I feel bad to even mow the lawn when they are there.

Plantkiller's fungi are puffballs. All puffballs are edible when young (they can make you sick when old), and they don't resemble any toxic mushroom. Based on the size, they're giant puffballs (Calvatia gigantea), which are definitely edible. My grandfather was an avid mushroom-hunter, and they were his second-favorite, after morels.

I believe that there are edible mushrooms which look like the one Garen has. However I *know* there are poisonous ones (Amanita sp.), which also look like that. After decades of mushrooming, my grandfather would still never eat any edible mushroom which could plausibly be confused with a poisonous one, no matter how certain he was of the ID.
