Symphony of colors. good place.

I usually lurk,but I've been following many of these gardens for weeks. Wonderful.
Firefighter, I have a question.....asking out of honest ignorance. The trees are planted much closer together than I'd dare...are they all in their permanent places? You clearly have a vision for color; how are you factoring in time/growth over the years when you plant?

Glad you folks enjoyed the colors. It's a chaotic blend, but that's how I am dreaming it up.

Idabean, the Japanese maples will be pruned and/or transplanted as little as possible, though I am doing some ground-work now to keep their branches intentionally intersecting so that the color blends even more. Longterm my collections will shrink as plants are either transplated to a local arboretum, given to friends/family or die/get chopped down. My collection, as I see my plan, will go from a few thousand trees to perhaps several hundred in the next few decades.
