My Parrotia just turned yellow this year also. Usually I get a lot more color. All in all this wasn't a good year for Fall color for me. We've had winds and cold weather preceded with a lot of rain. I suppose, you on the Oregon coast, received the same.
I found that sunset picture I took from very close to where you live. I think you found us through this picture. :-)

Mike, your sunset was taken at Wheeler waterfront. Yes, we have same weather and I was a bit disappointed with the Parrotia. Next time you're this way please stop by.

This is what one of my Parrotias looked like last year. Quite an difference from this year.
Maybe we'll have better conditions next year.
I will surely stop by the next time I get down on the coast of Oregon. It's such a beautiful place.

Here's mine from last year. These pics are probably upsetting the Conifer folks, nonetheless, I invite you and anyone else visiting our beautiful area, as I do have Conifers!
