Conifers at Cady's Falls Nursery in Vt.

Here are photos I took of Cady's Falls Nursery this fall. Because of its display gardens and very large variety of in-house propogated unusual plants,including many conifers, it is my very fav. nursery north of Boston. The owner, Don, has been active in the conifer soc. for yrs., is extremely knowledgable and as nice as can be. I have not edited or captioned these photos yet, but I thought you all would enjoy a diversion from the end of season gardening chores facing us all! I hope these will motivate you to visit there in the future!

He used that Larix on a standard very well.

| Have been there about 5 x myself. Its about a 3hr to 3.5hr ride for me from southern NH. Its one Americas greatest gardens/landscapes. For myself, I have only seen 1 better and that was at the (rock garden) NY Botanical Garden at the ACS national meeting this past August. Just had a moment...I'm taking what I said back....Its the greatest landscape I have ever seen. The bog garden which is on his website is mind blowing. The difference is he does not have a 90 million annual budget like NYBG. I recommended Cady Falls to everyone. Great web site. Extremely informative catalog. The owner is a very nice guy. He also carries a lot of conifers from Greg Williams. One of Americas great plantsmen who happens to be located a few miles from Cady Falls. Anyways those are my thoughts. |

| I have been to this beautiful place a few times now and have always enjoyed the trip. I drove the 4 hours to get there today only to be EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED !!!! We were verbally attacked by the owner-he must be sick to go off swearing and yelling like that. Not at all the pleasant couple I had met a few years ago. I have raved about this place to so many people but now feel like they must be warned . |
