I noticed that as well. Its based upon the content and search terms on his website.

There is some technical calculation that search engines use to determine "experts". They then float to the top of the searches. That is a priceless search you don't have to pay for. Nice work Bob!

Ron is absolutely correct, I gave the reason as to why he is at the top of the search.

His picture image is tied to all the cultivars listed on the product page.

Probably the 'Stricta Lutescens' is in the list that appears when you click off his picture.

It kind of makes me feel like "Big Brother" looking over your shoulder...

LOL

We could devise a game of chugging a beer each time Bob's face comes up on search. Wait, that may have been done before.

Now I'll have to see if he shows up when I Google "Bob's your uncle".

Hahn Winery 2009 Pinot Noir is supposed to be excellent. Bob doesn't look dour enough to be Big Brother.

 o
RE: where is bob

If Bob chugs a Pinot Noir or two we may coax a scowl out of him...or, if we continue this thread much longer...

I'd think that would only happen if the wine had gone bad. Otherwise the usual expected outcome is an enhanced hilarity.

RE: where is bob

I'm sipping as fast as I can! I cannot speak for Bob!

 o
RE: where is bob

Actually a good spruce beer might just liven things up a bit.

 o
RE: where is bob

Bob does that mean that there is something else 'brewing' in your laboratory?

 o
RE: where is bob

Now, I have never actually had a spruce beer, but those I know who have, and from what I've read (ere now), they never put together the words, "a good spruce beer". Am I missing something?
