i just cant figure out what to use to bring the color of the heaths and heathers into my garden... have been toying with no name daylily .... no name.. simply because i dont need another 'collection' for labeling and databasing ....

curious to see his house.. which looks like a lot of US ranch housing... i thought that was a US thing.. lol ...

and another cool garden name ... foggy bottom brings to mind the kids sitting around in dirty diapers for much to long .. while daddy plants just a few more plants ...

I never get tired of seeing Adrian Bloom's garden! It is surely an inspiration for all conifer lovers. Though I have never had an opportunity to visit in person, I was given his book, Conifers For Your Gardens, in 1980 from Jean Iseli. It has been a treasured part of my library ever since.

These photos are great! Oh how I'd love to visit this garden. (....And Foxhollow, which appears to be inspired by this one.)

Any idea how many people are involved in the upkeeping of that wonderful treasure-garden?I'm asking this because many people these days want care-free gardens.No time for non-profitable activities.Most of us on these garden forums like to spend as much time in our gardens as possible, because we feel that's profitable for our mental wellbeing.In spring and summer however,for me things sometimes run out of hand.Need 48 hours in a day !And that's when I realise I'm getting the oposite result of what was intended.I 've reduced my 'must get' list by half,just by being a bit more selective (wich in itself is not an easy task).I'm sure it will be more fun watching fewer plants,but in a relaxed way,with or without an adult drink of choice!
