What happens to this plant when the leader is truncated and a branch is wired to the vertical in the position of a new leader, so the branch is oriented to the south (N hemisphere) or facing the light source (to reduce the likelihood of photo-oxidation/sunburn. You'd have to use your imagination to envision this plant as being truncated above the opposite wired branches and see how this L laricina bonsai start's new leader might have been wired to the vertical.
Thanks for any reply - especially the 'why' it won't work, if that proves to be the case.
