I propagated this Cephalotaxus harringtonia from cuttings about 30 years ago. It is now 30ft wide. The needles appear to be shorter than C. griffithii .

Assam is not in western Himalaya. West Yunnan is not so far from Assam. Northern Burma being in-between. It is the same region, more or less the same climatic conditions.
Not aware of the most recent studies...

By the way, it is funny, Cedrus libani subsp. stenocoma is acknowledged by Debreczy and Racz in their monumental 2 volumes book, vol. 1 p. 175.
