Ken, that's a very interesting observation. However, is talking to the gardener (i.e. personal contact) AND taking pictures really that difficult? I agree that one of the true joys is the banter between guest and gardener. The best experience I had this past summer was talking to the head gardener at Bickelhaupt Arboretum in Clinton, IA. I got the history of the place from a gentleman who gardened there for 20+ years and worked closely with the founders. Great story. You talk, you take pictures...you talk, you take pictures...

Actually, you are correct, Ken. I took very few pix of your place when I was there and it surprised me when I got back home and checked my pix. But I do have fond memories of your garden...and the conversation.

Yes, I completely agree with you, Ken! I was fairly horrified after visiting your place to realize that I didn't take pictures. I was hoping you wouldn't feel slighted, because I will always remember the visit.

I am not a multitasker. My better half is and takes lots of pictures. I can take a picture, or I can participate in the event, I cannot do both. I'm quite envious of those of you that can!

Assuming the sample size is somewhere between 24 and 36, can any conclusions really be drawn? Besides, the individual may remember it for a short time, but in a few days you're likely to never think of it again. Isn't that why we take pictures?
