    Are all of the Pinus sp. from Mexico? Nice cones on the 'stylesii'....What's the background conifer on pic 5?

    One can only assume the Juniper must be Juniperus canariensis.

    Blue Yew got #2 - great job! - Austrotaxus spicata
    Sam - #13 is correct - Pinus maximartinezii
    Same, others - #1 is correct - Microcachrys tetragona
    Johnny - good job on #10, a gold star for you - Pinus stylesii

    Keep trying on the rest!

    For some odd reason the Macaronesian Juniper is called Juniperus cedrus. Maybe because they are needly and not scaly?

    It must be Juniperus barbadensis then?

    David - you are right, Juniperus cedrus it is. If you saw a close-up, it would have been easier.

    Where was that picture taken if not in habitat? California? Why do they look bad in habitat?

    Yep - at UC Berkeley. They have been decimated by a canker disease in habitat.
