There doesn't seem to be any sources- and I've tried too many seeds from many sources with no luck and yet I was able to snag a Cathaya. What gives?!! Seems that seeds would be coming out of China for sure- is is endangered?

Let's see, some of the podocarps should be ok so long as they get irrigated. For example, Podocarpus macrophyllus 'Royal Flush' was selected for the red new growth and as a species is tough as nails. Do you have the straight species there?
