I am trying to put it together from Latin roots. I am going in two completely different directions here-one a skin thing and the other having to do with hands. I will wait for all the smarties out there to come back with clues. Maybe another cup of tea...

Hmmmm, spider comes to mind but how it fits todays trivia, I need hints.

My first thought was spider veins, but that doesn't fit with the dactyl part, so I am trying to figure out how I can connect spider with hands or fingers...I keep looking at mine, but nothing comes to mind-other than that they look the way my grandmother's hands looked when she was old-lol!

I think you both have it, you just need to put it together!!

I think someone with spider fingers might make a very good pianist. I have a friend who can bend his backwards. Is this a separate condition from Marfan syndrome?

Hmmmm, my hand just spans an octave so maybe instead of thin fingers the answer is extra long fingers?

Jim has it - eight arms. No, just kidding. It really means extra-long and thin fingers and toes, and is a sign of Marfan Syndrome, (very good, Bobbie) a disorder of connective tissue. Those who have Marfan's usually are tall and thin as well.

It's only because of the hints I got this one. I had a friend who had this, but it was all the great hints above that I squeaked through with the right answer.
