Well, I can guess the name of the company, but will have to think about the product. A thought is drifting around in my brain, but will wait for clues...

Well it's white just like that stuff that's still hanging around outside :(.

Old ones really did turn a yellowish as they aged-especially those extra-large one that were two bars together. Never understood that concept b/c they were too thick to break apart. Guess my grandmother used to cut them apart where they were scored. At first, I was thinking of the flakes (snow), but it makes more sense that he would have made the bars first.

Hint, to make all bar soaps last longer remove wrappers and store in an open container, letting them dry out makes them last a LOT longer.

I'm a little bit surprised at how easily you all came up with Ivory, but I guess I shouldn't be. I hardly ever stump you. Good job, all!

Growing up, there were all those ads touting Ivory Soap for beautiful skin ("so pure, it floats!" which was pretty cool when we were kids), so those of us of a certain age couldn't fail to remember. In fact, I think it was the only name brand soap I knew until I hit my teens!
