A Sweetheart Named : Aftermidnight!!!

GardenWeb has changed my life!!! I have very dear friends who I have met on this website, have half a doz forums I like to cruise thru....and this particular forum has given me such a gift too!!! You may know her as Aftermidnight, but I know her as soo much more...a new mentor in my life(Garden Guru!) and as we talked, we discovered she was a childhood friend of my mother!!!! What are the chances that we would meet all these years later!!! She has shared with me peices(missing peices) of the puzzle of my life!

And as far as gardening goes...she has probably forgotten more about gardening than I have learned thus far!! WOW! She has given me a great start by giving me the Entire collection of Gardens West magazine(our local and most popular magazine), so it was with hungry eyes that I have been devouring them all.... when to my suprise and delight, I came across an issue that I had set aside to really go thru(some great articles relevant to me)when I see a letter written to the editor by Aftermidnight, saying how she loves this magazine! I feel so honored to have her fav collection of mags! And I too will cherish them!! Thank You Dear One!

LOL Calamity, I don't know how much of a sweetheart this old gal is but thanks for the sentiment :).

Calamity's mom was not only a friend but my best friend from a very early age (preschool), we lost touch with each other when she moved to the mainland (late teens).

Here we were Jane and me, meeting in person for the first time after I found out here on the forum she had just joined the garden club I'm a member of. Sitting having a chat at garden club after hunting her down, wasn't hard she was holding the most gorgeous mosaic gazing ball she had put up for a prize when she had her open garden.

While sitting having a chat something Jane said made me ask her mother's maiden name, when she said what it was I think my jaw hit the floor.

Jane lives just a few miles south of me, so we've got together a couple of times. It really is a small world :).

Jane does the most amazing mosaics, and her stained glass art blows me away. She doesn't know it yet but there's another pile of Gardener's World magazines she's going to take home with her in the very near future LOL.

Hi There! Here is a link to an album I have online...kinda a hodgepodge of pics...I do sell stuff and also give stuff as gifts to people. I totally enjoy making Garden Art and have soooo many projects in mind to do....just gotta get going on them. I've been looking at pots, cement ones and plastic/or fiberglass ones but waaaaay too exspensive for this gal, so will be making some from the course I took on how to do Concrete and wire mesh armitures.

Annette, I just thought of you today as I started more Phuopsis seeds! I started some last year and wound up with about 8 plants. They're doing great. I'm hoping for some bloom this year but will be patient knowing how beautiful they are from your pictures.
