Oh...well, then...I was thinking of something that could leave the ground, not be connected to it! Love that. Was thinking today about where I could plant a couple more in the back yard! :)

So, went to try to stump DH on this after you gave us the clue (gave us the answer actually). He came up with it right away and even mentioned capillary action, etc., etc. Harrumph. ;)

lol. So it's Brooklyn, then....no wait, something that grew there??? I never thought of gravity limiting growth ....interesting. huh. I can see how it could slow humans down, from getting too big, sort of. Capillary action, indeed. Very cool.

My first thought was about those that grow along the coast of CA. Tallest ones I have ever seen and I think they are under 400 ft.

Yep, you all guessed it, after my huge clue. :)

The giant redwoods do get pretty close to the maximum, the tallest one being 379 ft tall.
