Hi. Yesterday was DH's birthday. so I never got online. Today, dusting of snow on the ground and too darn cold to be out. Hope the camellia buds still open-the plant is loaded with them this year. Good questions yesterday and today, TM.

For today, my thought is "betcha can't buy just one."

well I answered but it has not shown up so will say again that a friend in Russia sent me one of these many years ago. Sadly, I only have the very middle left.

I had a friend who had a set of some of the Communist leaders through Gorbachav (sp.?) Very cool and different.

I have wanted a set of these since the first time I saw one.

Spring seems far away here as the ground is covered with a recent snowfall but the birds are singing in the early morning and looking for mates so nesting will soon begin.

haha mnwsgal I too was going to remark about all the nesting that will soon be going on now that spring is here (or at least should be here :))

Hey guys, they're already nesting here. We have House Finches building a nest in the boston ivy on our chimney as of yesterday and the Hummers are busy flitting by with bits of Percy's fur she unknowingly has contributed.

There's something about these nesting figures that is really appealing. Maybe it's the clever repetition.

Does anyone remember the old Pet evaporated milk can labels? There was a picture of a cow's face coming out of a can, and the can in the picture had it's own label with a cow coming out of a can, and on that can ... That was about as far as it went, I think, but I can remember being really interested in those diminishing repetitions and wishing they had gone further.
