Thanks for the reminder about St. Pat's Day - I used my Irish tea cup, I have a little green tea pot somewhere that I think was probably originally restaurant ware, only makes one cup though. The tea I made is my favorite, Lady Grey. Should have had some Irish Breakfast tea - need to buy a tin.

I bought iced pumpkin bars. Just awhile ago I was walking my dog and noticed the Bush Clover shrub needed cut back, so I got the loppers and by the time I was finished I was huffing and puffing! Either allergens are messin' with my asthma or I've gained 30lbs. What do YOU think. ; )

I like your shamrock teacup...it's so pretty and perfect for St. Patrick's Day.

My plan for the evening, is to find my copy of The Quiet Man and enjoy St.Patrick's Day, the way I do every year...with John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara!

I had planned to have Irish Breakfast tea in my green depression glass c&s, with a piece of chocolate covered shortbread yesterday afternoon and post a pic.
DS2 popped in for a visit so the coffee pot went on instead. He's been making B.C. maple syrup from the trees he has on his 10 acres, we were gifted a couple of pints, ohhhhhh so tasty. My sister-in-law's hubby makes Ontario Maple Syrup from the trees on their property, it's tasty too. The great debate, which one tastes better :).

Christine, only a day late :), I only have 4 c/s in green depression glass, Cloverleaf pattern (Hazel Atlas Glass Company). I missed the boat on picking up 4 side plates in this same pattern, you snooze you lose. I just picked up a nice set of green salt & pepper shakers (Hocking) on ebay.

I almost missed this. Thanks for posting the pics. Look how pretty the tea looks in the green glass of the cup. I can see them on a small tea table covered with a crisp white cloth, sitting under a big tree on a sunny day. Wicker chairs, a vase of posies.
