Diamond Jubilee tea

Other steepers I know were hoping Harneys would offer a tea in honor of the Jubliee, but as of 10 days ago it wasn't listed. Now it is! Unfortunately, I don't think it will arrive at my house before June 1st. so I'll order it later. Someone on a tea forum was hosting a Diamond Jubilee tea and now hopes she gets it in time.

Here is a link that might be useful: The Queen's tea

Since it's the first of the month and my pension check came, I went to Harney's site to order the tea. It's temporarily unavailable because there were so many requests for it! Bummer. I sent them an email to be put on an "alert" list whenever they get more.

What?

Well, ignore my last post. I just now visited the site and the "unavailable" notice is no longer there. I didn't receive my alert email. Hmmmm.

Just in case anyone is interested, my Diamond Jubilee tea came in the mail today. Only came in sachet form, not loose. I'm going to try it tomorrow.

schoolhouse, I never think to check conversations. How is your tea?

RE: Diamond Jubilee tea

That's ok, I often forget to check in here. The tea is good. Very fragrant, hint of citrus. Now I see that Harrod's has an even more beautiful tin of Diamond Jubilee tea - except it would cost me, from the US, $34 for the tea plus $23 for s/h(!).

That's the problem for me with ordering much online. The shipping is just too high for me to justify. I love tea, but mine is all local.
