Halloween tea or just another Thursday?

I don't have anything cute planned for this tea, but someone (Schoolhouse?) had mentioned a Halloween tea. That's a great idea...so whatever you want to add this week or over the weekend...have some fun :)

As for me, I'm trying to figure out what to bake first with all these apples. My husband and I picked a bunch the other evening, right before the temperatures fell into the teens, at night. So, right now I'm enjoying a nice cup of Earl Grey and looking through the cookbook.

It wasn't me, but I remember we tried a Halloween Tea last year. I bought a rubber rat and put it on my tea tray for a photo shoot. ha.

What gorgeous red apples, Lavender Lass. Lucky you! What is the variety? Bet you are baking up all kinds of appley creations--yum!

We are in the midst of an Indian summer here in southern California, with day temps reaching the high eighties but the nights are chilly. It's due to cool off over the next several days--yay! Am so looking forward to some autumn color in my garden landscape--soon!

Have been enjoying hot mulled apple cider and vanilla pumpkin eggnog lately,with the occasional cup of tea with the usual lemon and sugar.

Had the grands for a weekend visit and had a great time.Got my Levi and grandgirls fix!! lol

It is almost trick or treat time here in our neck of the woods, so gotta go!

Hi, Becky. You know, I have no idea what kind of apples they are, since the tree was here, when we moved in. I think it's at least 40-50 years old and it's huge! :)

The apples are sweet and a little tart, which makes them perfect for baking. We never spray, but there are no worms in the apples, so they're great for storing. They usually last 2-3 months. The only thing is...they're not real big, so it takes a lot to make a pie! LOL

Your weather sounds wonderful and I'm glad you had fun with your grandkids. Hope your Halloween was fun, too!
