| We hit the news! Yes, you can fight city hall! See below for newspaper article.
One of the pictures is in front of my house (two guys standing on a corner ... that's MY house) ... although they used a funny fish eye lense.
City Hall wants to meet with us on Friday. Please Cottage friends ... pray hard for us! or send us good thoughts ... please, please, please!
This man wants to build '9' three story units in our iddy biddy neighborhood. By doing so it will allow City Hall to rezone our neighborhood for commercial developement.
Doin a happy dance!!! yes, yes, yes!!!

| Cheering you on! Our neighborhood fought a battle against a TND last year and lost. Love the concept, but the location is wrong for so many reasons. A neighborhood of bungalows, probably similar to yours, in downtown is now in the throes of a battle with a developer who wants to put up multi story apartments. |

GO EDNA! My community is in several battles 1) apartment building in a historic bungalow neighborhood, right out on a main street and the parking would be too close to existing neighborhood homes (including a Buddhist Monestary, which I think they've felt they've had to vacate now), and a giant cell phone tower less than a block from my back yard. I think we've lost the battle on both... I sincerely hope you win! |

| Some developer tried to put a large townhouse style apartment complex (120 units) in my rural area, two miles outside of town! About 100 people from this local area showed up at the Planning Commission Meeting to say NO WAY. The commissioners said they had never seen such a turnout. We won, the developer was prevented from putting up his complex. |

| Way to go, Edna. Can you pack the meeting on Friday with lots of neighbors? Fight tooth and nail, and holler and scream about sticking to the city's master plan. Don't let the rezoning camel get his nose under your tent. We're all pulling for you. ThinMan |

Best of luck, Edna! I hope your community comes together. Hopefully, the next article in the paper will be "Walnut Creek Neighbors Upset About Fisheye Lense Photo of an Esteemed Garden." |

| GOOD LUCK, EDNA! Our town/city council has never met a developer it didn't like, unfortunately. I hope you can beat the rezoning. Our city always avoids that fight by issuing 'special use permits' to get around the rules. Makes me furious, so I will be routing fro you, for sure, Darling house, btw. Cynthia |

Good luck!! I know the village I used to live in fought to preserve it's character against a huge, high density neighbour hood. It started with a double-sized sewer pipe being proposed to go in down Main Street. Way more than needed. Long Story short - they got the plan cut in half - better than nothing, but it will change the village forever. Hope you win, Edna!! Nancy. |

| The neighborhood turnout was better than anticipated. The issues were addressed. The main topic was- why is the developers architectural plans being considered when the rezoning has not been approved? Me thinks something biased maybe a-foot? While in the meting room we were surprised to see another drawing submitted (made pubic) on a proposed 3 story office complex. I do believe City Hall has an agenda of it's own. They do not care for the welfare of it's citizens, only for the money lining their pockets. As one neighbor said. "We count on you to protect us and you let us down". We've yet another day to fight - November 14th! |
