I had to leave my Phyllis Bide at the other house.
Word of advice. Never drive by a previous garden. Phyllis was growing on the white arbor at the end of the sidewalk.
They cut down everything except the saucer magnolia and took down the arbor.
We have not had many blue skies here either.

Annette ~ You are welcome, glad the pictures picked you up. We've had some gray days ourselves, and it's those days that I can sense what you up north must go through, except it's for months at a time, not just a few days. Hang in there, you'll have blue skies pretty soon.

Cousin Kathy ~ Sorry you had to leave Phyllis Bide behind. If we ever leave here, someone would probably destroy our whole compound and put up something very modern, which would fill up the whole property and the gardens would most certainly disappear. I've seen lovely yards around the county, where either the people who had been lovingly tending them either died or moved, and the whole atmosphere changes. To me it's sad, because for the most part, what was there is GONE. How awful for you to see what the new owners did to your old garden. Enjoy the beauty you are creating there in your new home.

I used to live in z10 FL and never knew azaleas could grow there! Is it an encore azalea? I know you can get away with an endless summer hydrangea.
