Gosh, I don't know, for certain but she is a beauty, schoolhouse. Looks like 'American Beauty' to me. The color is right and the petal formation.

Is it a spring blooming only or does it repeat through the summer? American Beauty is a once blooming climber/rambler.

Well this one puts out a flourish of bloom now; and then blooms sporadically later, but I'm not sure for how long. I'll make note of it this year. Dug around for the tag but I couldn't find it. Like I said, I'm pretty sure it was a woman's name.

Definitely a nice view! How thornless is a thornless rose anyway?! I've been wondering about that...

I just love your wired picket fencing.
I still have them on my LIST for re-fencing certain areas. It would be awesome around my vegetable (potager) garden. I could grow peas and beans and cucumbers on the fence, and sweet peas too along with my sweet pink roses I have up there already. Bonnie Bell can easily hop over the 3 ft. chicken wire fence I have around it now.
