Annie - Tasha's pink hollyhock?

Does this look like it? It's growing right beneath a birdhouse so you may see feathers and bits of rubbish from Mr. & Mrs. Sparrow's housecleaning upon the leaves. I tried to pick it off before I snapped the photo. It's a huge plant, so far healthy, and there are two others growing just as big. One across at the end of the potting bench and one catty-cornered (sp?) up against an iron fence (and weeds!)

Well, the color is spot on - rose pink, but it doesn't appear to have the fig leaves. Some of mine came out with the fig leaves and some with the catcher's mitt shape this year.

I wonder if the seeds I sent to you were from a cross pollinated plant. Darn. Still, it is at least half TT. Very pretty too.

Doesn't matter. If there are other HHs within 100 ft, they will get crossed. So, that cinches it for both of us, eh?

Sorry about that, Christine.
Thanks for posting the picture.

Here are photos of the leaves, both shapes on the same plant. I hurried out before it got too dark,so naturally chose the leaves with the most holes(!). Sorry.

Here are all three plants. It is confusing, because I had a hollyhock growing in this same spot that died out. It was a very pretty shade of rose/pink. Perhaps a piece of the root survived or a seed, I do remember planting your Tasha seeds there though. Oh, well don't worry. It's ok.

Oh, goody!
Those are 100% Tasha Tudor Hollyhocks!
Congratulations!!!
I am so happy!

They look fantastically healthy too. Beautiful.

Great photos too.

I'm not so sure yet. Looks like the one I had growing there before, but the other two plants are about to bloom so there still might be a chance. In fact, I would say 95% of the hollyhocks up by the picket fence and the garage have that type of leaf and they are shades of pink, dark red, red and yellow.

Thanks for being so enthusiastically optimistic!! (wow, that was a mouthful - sounded like Mary Poppins) ;)

Verdict is in! I searched for a photo of the previous hollyhock in this space and found it in the June 2007 garden album. It looks nothing like the Tasha Tudor pink! I'm going to make a little wooden sign and hang it there.
Thanks Annie! :) :)

I painted this sign last night.
