Phonegirl, as you may have heard, I'm going through lily withdrawal due to a severe infestation of lily leaf beetles. To this point, I have ripped them all out, save one who's days are numbered. I look with longing and admiration of your lovely lilies.

I noticed the far background too, always do. The country looks so different from out hilly area. Is that a river in the background or a field? I love seeing all the different parts of the country we garden in. I know in Zone 4 you face challenges a lot of us don't.

Phonegirl, I have to echo Liz's sentiments on the lilies. They are stunning and so huge. I also gave up the battle with the lily leaf beetle and very much enjoyed seeing yours. The delphiniums are beautiful. Everything looks so lush and full.

Thanks for all your sweet comments everyone. To answer a few questions. The area is our hay field in the back ground. The family still owns 100 acres behind our home. No water close by.

These tall lillies have never had any real TLC so it must be the breed. I counted the one red one and theres at least 150 blooms on it. I'm so sorry to hear about the leaf beetles.

We just had rain for almost 24 hours so that should bring things to life around here. Wish I had more time to chat with all of you fun ladies but I sure enjoy jumping on here late in the evening and seeing all the beautiful yards. Punk
