Japanese Beetles on zinnias

Never had these beasts eat my zinnias before. Walked out to get the paper, and there were four on my precious Apricot Beauty zinnias that I have been doting over! I squished them right away. There were chewed leaves and bug poo all over them. Even tho it was early morning and lots of dew on the leaves, I sprayed some insect spray. Not sure it will do any good. Probably should spray again tonight.

So far, I have only found about 20 JBs overall around my property. Normally there would be hundreds, maybe the 20 were just scouts and the main force is on its way.
