Lovely pic's, I was looking at Turtlehead plants (Chelone obliqua) just the other day, another plant I have never grown but after seeing yours I just might have to get one.

How tall does it grow for you?

I'd say it was appx. 2' high, but I could measure it later. This plant has been here a long time, and this year it's the best it has ever been. My girlfriend tells me Chelone obliqua (thanks!) is considered a wildflower,too. I didn't know that. She wants some seed.

The blue and pink look wonderful together.

I should dig up some chicory and move it to my front ditch....It grows abundantly here in fields and ditches. I even have some white blooming ones.

I love Chicory flowers, but the leaves are quite delicious in spring. I use them like Romaine for salads. In fact, I like chicory better than Romaine. Then when it bolts it makes those pretty blue flowers. What a great plant! I grow mine in the Potager.
Love that Turtlehead plant and flowers. I've only seen them as photos in my North American Wildlife book. Very pretty little turtle heads. :)

I discovered that endive was in the same family one year, when it bolted and bloomed it looked just like chicory.
