| I was in Ft. Lauderdale (my home) this past weekend and saw this. I've never seen one before. It is Aristolochia elegans. Commonly called Calico Flower or Dutchman's Pipe. The bloom was 10"x8". It felt like fabric.

| I have seeds. Kat from Amlo Farms sent me a slew of them. I tried germinating them this spring, and failed. I'm going to be trying again next year. I assume it will be an annual here. She's in Austin, TX. |

It has been a "few" years, but I remember a neighbor growing one. That was in Pharr, TX, which is on the TX Mexico border. Very unique. |
