Your fall garden is just stunning. I love all the fall color you have in your garden beds. The water makes a perfect backdrop. How lucky you are to live in such a beautiful place. Thanks for sharing your pictures.

Oh Dahli, your garden is absolutely gorgeous……....fall and winter. The mountains and lake are breathtaking also. I know I’m not supposed to envy, but I’m turning a little green right now. I don’t have season changes where I live but then again , I can grow all year round and for that I am thankful. My next life tho, I am going to live in the mountains. You are really blessed

I couldn't do it. But you've done a wonderful job.

Absolutely beautiful!

Thanks for sharing your little piece of heaven with us.
I dug up little red maples while in SC and planted them when I got back home. They were growing everywhere in the wild. Just blazing in the sunlight like yours. I hope mine live and grow.

What beautiful country! I love mountains. When I moved here to Oklahoma, I experienced acrophobia big time from the lowlands and flatness and the lack of towering mountains that extend off into the horizon in every direction. The lack of mountains on the horizon gave me an uneasy feeling, akin to insecurity. Even the sound of the earth was so different and strange. Things smelled different and tasted different to me too.

Where I grew up, I had mountains in three directions and the Pacific Ocean to the west.

I do love our big sky country though.
It is my home now.

Every place has its own beauty - its own good and bad aspects...and many pros and cons for gardeners to love and deplore about their area.

Thanks again.

Thanks Annie! What you can't see in these photos is we are completely hemmed in by mountains....the channel runs between them. Some people have a negative reaction to this -- it makes them feel claustrophobic because they can't see the horizon. I like it though.
