| Annie, I am living the old-fashioned life! I will be checking this shortly. I searched this morning for a rural or country style blog and came up with zilch. |

| I've got it bookmarked, thanks to you Annie! Looks like some fine reading!:D Becky p.s. by the way Annie, I received my New Dawn Climber (bareroot rose) from Armstrong Nursery mail order last week, and finally planted it on inauguration day! Hope to get some blooms this spring, but have heard that it blooms best on old wood. Keeping fingers crossed. :)B |

New Dawn on Inauguration Day - PERFECT! What a great statement! Mine bloomed the first year on new wood. I cut mine back severely this past summer and it flushed out with tons of new branches & blooms. But it does start blooming better with age - more branches, more blooms. Just keep it mulched and watered this year until it gets well established and you will be blessed for your efforts. Si te puedes! Yes you can! ;) ~Annie |

| Hi Annie, thank you for the tips & words of encouragement on New Dawn! It is only about a foot tall, with three thick green canes plus one lateral. I watered it real well at planting time, and the weather has been cool & drizzly. DH (dear hubby) says he will put a drip watering system on it this weekend. I can hardly wait for growth and blooms! :) Becky |
