My neighbor ordered from them. If it's too good to be true, then it is. Nothing he ordered lived.

On Garden Watchdog they have about 3 times as many negatives as positive reviews. I don't think I've ever seen reviews that poor before!

Last I knew GardenWeb wouldn't allow a direct link, but Garden Watchdog is a site that has reviews from gardeners about garden supply stores and nurseries. I usually check there before ordering from a new company. You can find it easily with Google.

We just made an order with Burgess two months ago. We ordered 3 clematis, and a selection of various other plants. One of the clematis shipped. They outright refused to send us the other two, insinuating that perhaps we were lying. The one they did send was the very worst plant I've ever seen. It died shortly. The company is refusing to send replacements, or a refund. We asked them to cancel our remaining, unsent orders. They have refused. We are now in the process of contacting the FCC, the Illinois Attorneys General, and the BBB, which gives them a D+ rating. We only wish we had known that information before we placed our order. Two calls to their call center left us with zero information to go on. We were told to email customer service. Doing so has become a nightmare of wretchedly corrupt customer service, the likes of which we have never seen in thirty years of growing and ordering plants. At this point, we are preparing to accept the apparent fact that we have been systematically ripped off.
