Beat The Zone On This One

I bought this plant (and another color in it) last year as annuals. It is listed as perennial for zones 9 and 10. I noticed it continues to bloom even in December, after a freeze. But look at it...it is surely acting as a perennial here in zone 8, isn't it?

It looks like Calibrachoa which is a perennial but treated as an annual in cooler climates. It must be in a little microclimate there. It is said to overwinter in z8 if given protection so some how you must have found it a good spot which sheltered it.

I don't quite know how as it was in the open, and we had extened periods of sub-freezing weather. I'm just glad, since it is a pretty little plant.

Not only made it thru the winter but is blooming already. Good deal. I have had things come thru the winters that were not supposed to be hardy. It often depends on were something is planted in the garden.
