They're beautiful and such a welcome sight after the long, dark, cold (NOT!!!) winter. I have some miniature daffs blooming in a sunny spot close to the house and the ones growing in the big flowerbed on the south side of the garden are all up and budded. That area is lower and shaded so the ground thaws a few weeks later than the rest of the garden.

Welcome back Rita,i asked about you a few weeks ago as i hadn't seen you around for awhile.

Your daffs are gorgeous,you folks are having better weather than those of us in NOT so sunny s.calif.Here we are mid afternoon and it's only 57 degrees here,cold,very windy and rainy,and it's been like this off and on for weeks.We do get an occassional day where it actually makes it to the 70's but they seem few and far between.Anyway TFS your beautiful daffs.

Do you know some of the names? The orange-cupped one looks as though it might be Jetfire. Always great to see some reliable old friends, though the daffodil foliage hangs on for too long to use them everywhere.

Thanks everyone. I really am enjoying my spring blooms. The orange trumpet daffs in pics three and four are MARIA daffs which I bought from Brent and Beckies.

What a lovely sight for winter weary eyes! I cannot ever look at a daffodil without finding myself smiling. They are such cheerful looking plants.

I guess I always want what I can have. They can grow here, but as an annual.

I don't know Plantmaven, you may not be able to grow certain things in your climate, but my gosh the gorgeous plants you can in your area are something else! I have a sister that lives in your general area and morning walks around the neighborhood are a feast for the eyes.
