spring cleaning finally underway!

This year spring has been so slow in coming. Finally this weekend I was able to get out and start cleaning up the gardens. Last year I was only 2 weeks away from spring flush on the roses. What a difference a year can make.

As my DH has been having health issues this year, my daughter came down for the weekend and has been a godsend helping get everything cleaned up. We have filled a second trailer load and still have the roses to prune. But it is looking so much nicer. I think the daylilies grew 6 inches just yesterday! Temps were finally in the 60's during the day. First time this year! Today should be even a little warmer. Yipee!

The daylilies all need dividing but probably won't get that done. However I do want to dig up a few to send home with DD for her gardens. Hope everyone has a great day!

Here, too, Mary Lu. Got some stuff done yesterday and more to come today. Thank goodness we're in the high 60s today.

Sorry to hear that your DH is having health issues. That is so hard on both of you. Bless DD's heart for coming to help you. If we were neighbors I'd be right over.

Yes I got Good and dirty.And I was Happy.Nice to look outside to what you gotten done..Getting Veggy area ready for DH to till.See line up of tractors on Highway.Chance of rain about every day next week.

TM, thanks for the thought, it means a lot. Looks like DH will be laid up most of the summer and in to the fall. He has several issues going on right now and one surgery scheduled for 2 weeks from now. Really a struggle for him, as he feels it is his job to help me and it is hard for him to accept that there is little he can do right now with his physical limitations.

Koszta kid, no veggie area to speak of here. Lost that to the driveway for the new garage. Seemed like I always gave away more than I used, so that's ok. I should be getting more done today, but somewhat sore from yesterday's marathon. So taking it a little easier today.
