How thoughtful of nature to create such a beautiful venue for the orchard! Or was it the little fairy miss? And that apple tree is just gorgeous also. What a wonderful area to live in.

The orchard is ever changing. This Spring there are many young tree slips of different varieties coming up all over and the privet hedge has seeded down in places that it really shouldn't have. I have to decide which little trees and shrubs stay and which go, what looks pretty now will grow tall and crowd out all the rest or bring in unwanted shade later. The wild honeysuckle shrubs are short lived and do not take to pruning, so just as they become big and beautiful they start to die off. There are others to take its place but in a new spot a few feet or yards beyond.
