Lovely!! My irises are up but won't bloom for a few more weeks where I am. Thanks for sharing the eye candy.

When I moved back to the house where I grew up, everything was either square or rectangular. Eight years later there remains but one straight-edge garden bed. Those I designed & planted since then all have curved & ditched edges.

While I wait for the irises to bloom, the Lenten roses growing beside my breezeway make me smile whenever I walk past them. Sorry--I tried to post a photo but it didn't appear when I previewed my message. The link will display images of one variety that's blooming now.

What a pretty hellebore! I picked up two on clearance at Lowe's yesterday, but I have no experience with them, so we'll see how things go.

There's a viburnum (one branch is visible in the 2nd picture) and several gardenias in this bed. And I've added in some pink echinaceas. It's a little on the shady side for the echinaceas, but they still did well last year (you can see them coming up too, just no flower stalks yet). I'm not sure what else to put in here.

Bearded iris bloom at different times. I have some German iris aka cemetery whites that bloom late Feb. I have had iris of one sort or another blooming since then. These 2 bloomed March/April. I have my fingers crossed that the one in picture 2 will be a black.
