Personally I like grey as a backdrop.

I like gray as a background color because it goes well with white, red, blue, yellow, orange, pink...you name it plus all the in-between shades of each one. If I can ever afford to have my house sided, it will be some shade of gray.

I think your neutral background is perfect. The blooms are the showcase, and the neutral fence allows that. You made a great choice.

I really like the natural look - looks perfect on the photo.

I vote for gray too.

I like the gray too. especially since it is in the 'blue' side and so opposite the pinks, reds. Makes the plants sparkle.
