Greenthumb -- perhaps you have already answered your own question.. Lack of sun. The sun helps to get the blooms out earlier. These plants do best in full sun. Anyway, add some bone meals to keep them healthy.

I noticed that a batch I planted, then had to hide behind a chair, so they wouldn't get trampled, did not bloom, so now I know...they NEED sun!!!

Okay - I'll move them to my only full sun bed for next year with the alliums and hyacinths....I thought that might be the problem, but my next door neighbors have them in the front yard, same issue and they're happily blooming away.......GRRRRR LOL Live and learn.. I just noticed some more tulip leaves without flowers under my yews....LOL I think I'll move those too

I assume you know that different daffs bloom at different times? The ones I have are just blooming as of 2 days ago, but the common yellow ones have been blooming in neighbors yards for at least 3 weeks. I'm getting some of those next Fall - mine are beautiful, white with salmon centers (dont know the name), but its nice to have the early ones.

I did know that - but to be honest, I didn't consider it......I will wait and see what happens, but hopefully I'll remember to move them before the foliage is gone....LOL
