thyme2dig: Okla. Tornadoes: How you can help

MOORE, Oklahoma - Tornadoes have devastated Oklahoma for two days in a row, leaving many asking, 'How can I help?"

Here are some of the agencies helping the victims:

- The Salvation Army is asking for donations for Oklahoma Tornado Relief: https://donate.salvationarmyusa.org/uss/eds/aok You can also text âÂÂstormâ to 80888 to make a $10 donation.

- The Red Cross said the best way to assist families is to make a donation to www.redcross.org/okc or www.redcross.org or texting REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.

-------------------------------
Many lost their homes and everything they had.

The Death Toll from the Moore Tornado, as of this morning, is 91 people - 20 of them are children. Nine of the children came from the Plaza Towers elementary school. More victims are expected to be found.
They are still digging through the rubble of homes, businesses, hospitals, &etc, including and the Plaza Towers elementary school where the third graders were buried. They are still holding out hope for survivors, but as time passes, they are preparing for the worst.

Three people also died in Sunday's tornado that hit several towns near Shawnee, Okla. In particular, a mobile home community was hit straight on and all but a few homes were wiped out. It was amazing that there were not more fatalities in that one.

There were homes damaged and destroyed in the Carney tornado too. That is a tiny community. They have practically no resources for helping their people.

Thanks for asking thyme2dig
