I'm dripping with envy, I was given some seed of the wild blue phlox so will give it one more try. I only tried to grow 'Chattahoochee' but it keeps dying out on me :(. The scent is lovely.

Thanks cyn. The orchard is always pretty with something all season but unfortunately I don't photograph that direction too often because of my neighbor's property. I don't mean to sound awful, but swimming pool, giant play set, rickety deck, all manner of grills and autos just don't make for a nice background in a photo. :) I do have my red fence but it's not quite high enough. These people cut down all the large old pines along the line. Now, this was both a blessing and a curse. Yes, I lost most of my privacy but gained lots of sun so that more vegetation and wild flowers are growing. Soon I hope the scrub trees will help fill in the hedge row again for privacy.

Annette, I didn't know you could save seed and have it germinate. Should have thought of that. Maybe I'll try to gather a bunch this year and share.

Love the woodland phlox...it is quite the show this year, I will agree.

I have big patches of it this year too& the trillium were abundant - love that funky trellis of yours on the left side of the last picture!

mandolls, that is my bean trellis in the veggie garden. Instead of green beans this year, I intend to grow Love-in-a- Mist flower on it - IF I ever get the seeds in the ground. You have Trillum? Wish I had some of that, I remember having a few in earlier years but they've all gone. A friend gave me some May Apple transplants one time and they are in their fourth year, struggling, but managing to grow decently altho I only saw them bloom the first year.
