I have tried growing NG Impatiens in shady conditions but not full shade. Both in morning sun with afternoon shade and vice versa and that worked fine. When I think of NG impatiens I just don't believe they perform as well as the regular impatiens in the shade. Full shade may prove to produce less blooming. One way I figure out if something is not getting enough sun is observing if the stems are reaching for the sun.
