You have some pretties there, I love the combination in your little window box, I haven't seen that color of Verbena before. I'm also very fond of Tradescanthias do you know the variety name of yours?

That verbena is supposed to be new this year. I have seen it everywhere around here. So far it is blooming like crazy. Hasn't been too hot here yet though.

That trandescantia is "Red Cloud". I have a shorter, more well behaved one too. Little bit shorter and more daylily-like with blue flowers. It doesn't flop as much as "Red Cloud" spiderwort.

I love your light-blue irises in the first photo- so beautiful. Your picket fence is perfect for the effect you are after!

Those are called "Willamette Mist". Local nursery (anyone from Michigan or Ohio should be familar with Block's) sells perennials, including huge 5 or 6 fanned irises for about $3 in the summer. I got most of my irises from there. The place is a mad house, so busy, but the best prices anywhere.

The pink verbena is called Lanai Twister Pink.

Cardwellave your garden is lovely! Dont you just love those multi colored verbenas?I got my SIL a hanging basket of them and a small branch broke off. I stuck it in a vase and after three days in water it had roots! they seem to root very easily and you can get alot more if you want them. I potted mine!

I had a beautiful hybrid foxglove, that I think the gardener took out. Daughter has offered to give me wild ones (that I also like), but they look scrawny to me. If I take them..can fertilizer help plump them up and out?
