New perennials this year

I bought some new perennials today to help breathe new life into the borders where older plants have gradually disappeared. Just planted: Achillea Hybrid (Yarrow) -"Anthea", a light yellow;

a new (to me)variety of Gooseneck Loosestrife - Lysimachia "Beaujolais", a dark reddish pink; I planted this down in the orchard garden where it can spread. I already have the white which has been there a long time. The "Beaujolais" has

gray/green foliage, very interesting.

a Versicolor Blue Iris; and a yellow Bearded Iris called "Summer Olympics".

and three Cup and Saucer Vine to grow up the porch railing which is an annual vine. Also couldn't resist a four pack of some very nice white Cleome. Planted the vine but not too sure how soon I can put the Cleome in. They are pretty big already and I suppose the nights won't get as cold from now on. Knock on wood.

Whew. First digging of the season, and boy are my feet sore and legs tired.
