Very smart to place your beds in an orientation to allow the water to o least amount of damage. Everything is very lush and green.

I am also on a slope and am learning where the water tends to flow. Makes shovel edging garden beds trickier too (mulch in the wedge tends to float away during heavy rains).

Are your bunny tails perennial grasses for you and do they reseed (too much?)? I am trying some this year but not sure now what came over me to buy them!

Hi Troves! Little Bunny grass (Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Little Bunny')) is the ornamental grass I've had the longest and so far it's my favorite for it's long season of bloom, long lasting flower heads and drought tolerance. It rarely reseeds for me, but not much does since I use so much mulch..Yes, it's perennial for me. There's another grass called Bunny Tail, but it's a little different.

I do love your gardens. Glad you planned ahead for the rain run-off. Love your grasses too. I should really check into them.
I live in the middle of a very long slope, but so far (in 2nd year) the water only affects my garden near the edge of the street.
